Green
Valley Recreation, Inc. (GVR) is governed by a board
of 11 Directors. The 11 individuals are volunteers who
are elected from within the general membership. The
Board consists of a President, Vice-President, Treasurer,
Secretary and 7 Members at-large.
Directors serve a three-year term on the Board. A Director
can only serve two consecutive terms, or a total of
six (6) years. If elected, an individual can serve another
term after a one-year absence from the Board.
The Board consists of the following committees: Board
Affairs and Bylaws, Nominations and Elections, and Planning
and Fiscal Affairs. Special or ad hoc committees may
be established by the President from time to time to
assume specific, short-term responsibilities. Committee
members will be invited and selected from the general
membership.
A regular meeting of the Board is held once a month
(except December). Green Valley Recreation Members are
invited and encouraged to attend. Each Committee also
meets once a month. Minutes are taken at each meeting
and, after approval, become part of the GVR corporate
documents.
