Canoa
Ranch and Las Campanas Information
IMPORTANT
NOTES
LAS
CAMPANAS:
The fitness room, Bell room & the office at Las Campanas
will be closed starting Monday, May 5, 2008
for renovations. Tennis courts, racquetball courts, pool
& spa, restrooms, showers & locker rooms will remain
open. Please enter through card access gate at the
west pool entrance. Access to the showers &
locker rooms will be through the door located to the left
of the main lobby doors.
LAS
CAMPANAS, DESERT HILLS and WEST
CENTER OFFICES ARE CLOSED FOR THE SUMMER:
Santa
Rita Springs, Canoa Hills and East Center offices are open
from 8:00AM until 4:00PM weekdays.
East
Center is open on weekends and holidays from 10:00AM until
2:00PM.
WEST
CENTER:
The parking lot east of the woodshop will is closed
in for the construction of the woodshop project. If you
use this area while attending functions at West Center this
closure will affect you.
SHUFFLEBOARD
COURTS: West
Center shuffleboard courts will be closed from 4/14/08 thru
5/9/08 while GVR refinishes the courts. Play is
available at South Abrego during this time.
ALL
POOLS - SUMMER POOL HOURS:
The pools at Las Campanas, Santa
Rita Springs, Canoa Hills, Desert Hills and East center
open at 5:30 am. This corresponds to the opening time for
the fitness rooms. All
other pools open at 6:00 am. All pools
close at 9:00 pm.
Many pools are reserved for exercise classes. Please check
the Drop-in-Activities schedule.
MAINTENANCE:
Small maintenance projects are on-going at many of our centers.
This work is carried out during regular operating hours
in a manner as not to effect the member’s enjoyment of the
facilities. Thank you for your cooperation. This avoids
shutting down the facilities unnecessarily during regular
operating hours.
Note:
Please carry your membership card when using GVR Facilities.
CONSTRUCTION
Las
Campanas Phase III: Construction has begun on the roof
structures. Concrete walks and new parking areas are been
prepared for concrete and asphalt paving. Parking at the
site is very congested at times. If possible car pool if
a number of you are attending the same function. Please
observe all signs, park in designated areas only. If you
park in the street do not block driveways. On Monday May
5 the fitness room will close for renovations.
Canoa
Ranch: All walls and roof structures are in place. Underground
utilities are substantially complete. Visits to the site
are limited and must be arranged through GVR.
West
Center Tennis Ramada: Tennis
reservations can be made at the new tennis ramada.
Monitors are on duty between 12:35 PM and 1:00 PM. on Mondays,
Wednesdays and Fridays. Construction is complete on the
viewing area. The new Ramada was dedicated this past weekend.
CANOA
RANCH - LAS CAMPANAS - CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
The
building housing the indoor pool is now complete with
only the windows and roll-up doors yet to be installed.
Excavation of the pool is to begin Monday April 7, 2008.
The balance of the building containing the Fitness Room,
Lobby, Women's and Men's Showers and Restrooms, Storage
and Pool Equipment areas are 50% complete as of this
date. All of the site utilities are complete. All of
the exterior Drainage Areas are complete and shortly
you will see new curbs and sidewalks being placed along
Turquoise Mountain Drive. Installation of the roofing
systems should start April 8th. The project is on schedule.

Las
Campanas Phase III
The entire building shell has been framed in at this date.
Exterior sidewalks are partially complete. All of the
roof trusses and should be in place by week's end and
framing has been started on the interior partition walls.
The parking lot light bases are also complete. The project
is currently on schedule. If possible, please car pool
to functions. Please observe all signs, park in designated
areas only. If you park in the street do not block driveways.
