GVR Lapidary & Silversmith Club

Purpose: The Green Valley Lapidary & Silversmithing Club is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to promoting hobbies for those who are interested in learning Lapidary, Silversmithing, Casting, PMC (Precious Metal Clay), Dichroic Glass, Wire Wrapping, and Chain Making.
Membership: Approximately 370. GVR membership is required.
Activities: The Club provides and operates three well-equipped facilities to provide instruction, workshops and an atmosphere conducive to the development and expansion of members’ talents.  Three shops are open to GVR residents and Guests for jewelry sales at East Center (pool area), Desert Hills (upper lvel) and West Center (patio area). Many of our GVLClub artisans also participate in the Arts And Crafts Fairs in March and November which are open to the public.

Santa Rita Art League of GVR

Purpose: Promote an awareness, appreciation and development of talent in various forms of visual fine art in Green Valley.
Membership: Ranges from interested beginners to nationally recognized professional artists. Approximately 225 members. GVR membership required.

Activities: SRAL offers a fully equipped professional studio, as well as a library of art videos and books, for member use. Activities and events include monthly meetings featuring in-depth demonstrations and programs by proficient artists, educational movies and discussions, open and juried exhibitions, free and fee-based art workshops, various special interest groups including portraiture, live drawing, still life, plein air, abstract, pastel, design study, mixed media and collage, and printing.

Woodworkers of GVR

Location: The Club operates and maintains a 5800+ square foot woodshop at the GVR West Center, 1111 S. GVR Dr., Green Valley, AZ 85614, which is complete with a machine/equipment area, a project layout area with nineteen 4’x 8’ project tables, and 2 outside patio areas for sanding and finishing.
