GVR Pickleball Club
The GVR Pickleball Club has over 1,100 members and plays on 36 pickleball courts at three locations: GVR Pickleball Center, East Center, and Canoa Ranch. The club manages scheduled play, classes, and court reservations on a daily basis year-around for its club members, as well as GVR members.
GVR members who are not part of the Pickleball Club can still enjoy the game. Courts are available through court reservations and designated open play times. Whether you’re brand new to pickleball, have played a bit before, or want to introduce family and friends to the game, the guide below offers a quick overview of how to find court time and start playing.
Note: Court shoes designed for outdoor courts (non-marking) are required.

- Play involves hitting the ball back and forth with rules and scoring optional.

Canoa Ranch (4 courts) 7am–dusk
Open play occurs here every day of the week. Open play is for all skill levels from beginners to more advanced players.
Open play process:
- Place your paddle in the ‘paddle queue’ outside the fence of Court 1.
- When a court is available, the next four players in the ‘paddle queue’ take the court.
- Each group of four players finishes one game and then leaves the court for the next four players.
- If there are no paddles in the ‘paddle queue’, then players may continue to play on the court.
