Membership: 60 Artisans.
Annual Dues: $25 ; One-time $40 application fee

Hours: May and June: Monday-Saturday, 10am-2 pm; July and August: Wednesday-Saturday, 10am-2 pm; September: Monday-Saturday, 10am-2 pm; October-April: Monday-Friday, 9-4 pm and Saturdays 10am-2 pm.

GVR Arts & Crafts Association

Purpose: Promote arts and crafts in Green Valley
Membership: All GVR members are welcome. Must be a GVR member to join.
Annual Dues: $5.00
Meetings: The GVR Arts and Crafts Association meets the first Wednesday of every month (October- May) at 1pm at Desert Hills Center. During the summer (June-August) the club meets every Wednesday at 1pm at Desert Hills Center.  The GVR Arts and Crafts Association sponsors the Arts and Crafts Festival at GVR West Center in February each year.

GVR Card Crafters Club

Purpose: The GVR Ceramics Club pours, glazes, and fires ceramics in the studio.  Members may participate in a variety of activities that include choosing from a large selection of molds, joining a workshop/demonstration, or learning techniques in hand building. Join the friendly family of ceramics!

GVR Clay Studio

Purpose: To provide and operate an equipped facility for GVR members interested in working with clay.
Membership: Open to GVR members who have completed the Introduction to Clay Studio Course. Experienced potters may qualify for membership through the waiver process.
Activities: The Clay Studio has an atmosphere of artists creating pieces though sculpture, wheel, and hand building. Members are friendly and helpful to each other.

GVR Decorative Art Club

GVR Glass Artists Club

Purpose: Provide a working studio, instruction and collaborative support for stained glass, fused glass and mosaic glass.
Membership: Our membership ranges from beginners to advanced glass artists working on fused glass, stained glass and mosaics. Membership is open to all GVR members. Introduction to Glass Arts is required for membership.
Prerequisite to join club: Take any one of the following courses through GVR: Introduction to Glass Arts – Fusing; Introduction to Glass Arts – Mosaics; or Introduction to Glass Arts – Stained Glass.  Each course will teach you how to safely cut and handle glass and the basic techniques of that area of glass art.

GVR Lapidary & Silversmith Club

Purpose: The Green Valley Lapidary & Silversmithing Club is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to promoting hobbies for those who are interested in learning Lapidary, Silversmithing, Casting, PMC (Precious Metal Clay), Dichroic Glass, Wire Wrapping, and Chain Making.
Membership: GVR membership required.
Activities: The Club provides and operates three well-equipped facilities to provide instruction, workshops and an atmosphere conducive to the development and expansion of members’ talents. Three shops are open to the public for jewelry sales at East Center (pool area), Desert Hills (upper level) and West Center (patio area). Many of our Lapidary Club artisans also participate in the annual Arts and Crafts Fair held in February and the Lapidary Club-sponsored Artisans Festival held in November.

GVR Metal Working Crafts Club

Purpose & Focus:  Provide a metal shop for the pleasure of its members. Metalworking is new to GVR, therefore we’ll be focusing on teaching members about the craft, which will be an ongoing process for the foreseeable future.

GVR Santa Rita Art League of GVR

Purpose: Promote an awareness, appreciation and development of talent in various forms of visual fine art.
Membership: Ranges from interested beginners to nationally recognized professional artists. Approximately 225 members. GVR membership required.

Activities: SRAL offers a fully equipped professional studio, as well as a library of art videos and books, for member use. Activities and events include monthly meetings featuring in-depth demonstrations and programs by proficient artists, educational movies and discussions, open and juried exhibitions, free and fee-based art workshops, various special interest groups including portraiture, live drawing, oil painting, assemblage, plein air, abstract, pastel, design study, mixed media and collage, and print making.

GVR Woodworkers

Purpose: To provide a safe, well maintained, organized wood and hobby shop environment where club members may explore the woodworking crafts.

Location: The Club operates and maintains a 5800+ square foot woodshop at the GVR West Center, 1111 S. GVR Dr., Green Valley, AZ 85614, which is complete with a machine/equipment area, a project layout area with nineteen 4’x 8’ project tables, and 2 outside patio areas for sanding and finishing.
Hours: Monday 8am-2pm, Tuesday-Saturday 8am-4pm.
