Guests and Tenants

Guest Cards

Guest cards are available Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm at GVR’s West Center Box Office / Customer Service.

GVR Guest Policy

Guest cards are required for all guests 18 years of age or older, and GVR members may purchase guest cards using the following criteria:
  • All guests must reside outside a 20-mile distance from established GVR boundaries.Click HERE to view the boundaries.
  • Guests are temporary visitors of GVR members.
  • Guest cards must initially be purchased in person by the GVR member.
Please note that renters are not guests. Renters, including AirBNB and VRBO customers, must carry tenant cards.
Guest Pass Policy Update: The Board of Directors held a special meeting on Wednesday, January 14, and would like to thank everyone who shared comments and provided written feedback. The Board voted to make a number of updates:
  • Daily Guest Pass: The fee has been reduced from $10 to $5 – still only good for one person
  • Weekly Guest Pass: The fee has been reduced from $30 to $15 – still only good for one person
  • Annual Guest Pass: The fee remains the same at $85, but this has been changed from one guest to four guests and is now good for 60 days of use (from 30 days) within 365 days from date of purchase
  • Complimentary Guest Pass:  An annual guest pass available to single-owner homes (only one person listed on title). These continue to be valid for one guest only, and allow up to 60 days of access for visiting friends and relatives within 365 days from when they are activated.
What hasn’t changed:
  • Tenants/Renters are NOT guests, they require a tenant pass
  • A guest is defined as a temporary visitor who resides outside a 20-mile distance from GVR’s established boundaries
  • Sahuarita and Green Valley friends and neighbors are NOT eligible guests
  • Members can have only one annual guest pass no matter how many properties they own – these are not renewable until the following year

Tenant Cards

For Tenants

Tenant cards are available Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm at GVR’s centralized customer service West Center Box Office.
Before your visit, please have your Tenant Request form completed in full by the property owner or property management company. Download the form below or visit any office listed above for a paper copy.
If GVR has the Tenant Request form on file, you can purchase your Tenant Card over the phone by calling (520) 625-3440. Arrangements may be made to pick up the card after payment is provided.

For Landlords

If you are using the services of a rental property management company, the company will supply your tenants with the proper paperwork to obtain their GVR tenant cards.
If your tenants are renting directly from you, please follow these steps:
  • Complete and sign a tenant request form for each set of tenants staying at your property.
  • By signing this form, you as the owner(s), permit GVR to transfer your GVR privileges to the tenant(s) while they are in residence. The owners will not have GVR privileges during the tenant’s stay.
  • The tenant request form is available at our customer service office, or it can be downloaded using the link above.
  • You can give the completed form to your tenants or email it directly to GVR. at tenantreq@gvrec.org.
  • GVR staff cannot process tenant cards without the completed tenant request form. A lease agreement is not acceptable to obtain tenant cards.
  • Tenant cards cannot be processed on GVR accounts with outstanding dues.
By following the steps above, your tenants will avoid any delay in obtaining their tenant cards and be able to enjoy all that GVR has to offer!
